I’m playing a hilarious (not really) game of, “am I tired or am I dehydrated?”. I’m most likely dehydrated.
OK, I’ll admit it, I’m starting to get tired of the snow.
All day meetings and work dinners will be the death of me. How can anyone handle more than 2 of them a year?
Finally got around to visiting the new library – very nice, I especially like the book return system.
Leftover puff pastry is always good – makes nice little dipping things for Nutella.
Unrelated to anything but this terrine was really, really good.
I’m starting to feel that the winter will be over in a few months. It’s starting to be light again after 4pm!
It’s not a holiday in Marseille if I don’t bring back some shpunderok from the Armenian shop. This one was all fancy with some kind of seeds on the outside.
Fun fact – it would cost me less to go to the Viikki office than the Otaniemi one (and I could if I wanted to) but there is no metro to the Viikki office and I don’t like waiting for the bus outside in the snow. And the 70 is always a few minutes late, always! At least the metro comes every 2 minutes and the platforms are inside.
Remember when snow was still shiny and new and made the winter look less bleak?
Pro tip: a brightly coloured coat is easier to find on communal coat racks than a black one.
New year, no one at the gym before 7am on a Sunday? I thought everyone had new resolutions!
I can’t quite remember how the idea for this smoked salmon/leek lasagna came about but it was definitely a great idea!
We know that they each give a different coloured egg but so far I don’t think anyone has tried to figure out who gives what type… so far.
Every single time I come back from Marseille, I tell myself that I should really, really move back. But living there is not the same as going back for a week’s holiday, is it? Probably Helsinki is also exciting when you don’t live here.
Even though my tendon was quite sore, I still went up my usual running route (not very wise).
It also wouldn’t be a proper Christmas/New Year holiday in Marseille if we didn’t go to the figurine mountain. This year people have outdone themselves! Not sure all the representations are really traditional but A+ for creativity.
