Humans are the best. There is a hill, a good 30-45 minute walk from the closest hiking starting point, where people seemingly spontaneously have started bringing their “figurines” from the galettes des rois. Many are assembled into hodge-podge nativity scenes, sometimes with some strange stand-ins (I think last year I posted a photo of a Hello Kitty figurine standing next to one of the kings). With the wind, sea breeze, etc. it’s clear that the figurines keep on falling off, even with good glue, but every single year people come back to bring new ones. It’s incredible – heck, there are now off-shoot hills have their own little scenes.
Annual fireplace update.
My parents got this antique (maybe? potentially?) piece and it’s in the garage, with two dudes staring judgingly at everyone who goes there.
