Après l’effort, le reconfort.
Dinner that starts at 9:30pm. Why are you doing this to me? (And they’re being kind, it could be starting much later.)
While making holiday plans, it seems that one of my best options is to have an overnight layover in Brussels. I feel like work is mocking me.
Went out for drinks after work and finally convinced a co-worker to try a kriek… he quite liked it even though he still maintains it’s a “girl’s drink”. Yeah, nope, it’s a drink for everyone.
In the previous Airbnb I stayed in Brussels, the guy (an ER doctor) had a collection of anatomy books along with tons of comics… this time around I stayed at an architect’s place and he had a collection of architecture books and Karl Marx and the full works of Kafka. Oh, and about fifteen books on oriental rugs.
I chose the beer without looking at the alcoholic content and, let me tell you, 9% is a lot more than what can be found in my usual Cruzcampo (who am I kidding, it’s totally radlers in the summer).
I feel super uncomfortable that I had to accept the new Livejournal ToS in order to be able to import all my LJ stuff to DW. And now the LJ era is gone; I wonder if maybe we should have revolted more when it was first sold to a Russian company.
I’m not a big drinker but this seems like a great idea for storing glasses and not just at a bar – seen in the flat where I was staying.
We learnt that there is, indeed, a direct train from the airport to Schumann – wonderful discovery, even if it only runs every half hour.
And to think that a few years ago seeing this in a hotel kitchenette would have meant nothing to me!
Mummimamma is the best when it comes to looking like a shocked lady on the 8 o’clock news telling everyone about the terrible youths out there.
As with pretty much the rest of anything official related to Star Wars, while I didn’t mind The Force Awakens, I didn’t think it was anything too special – the fanmade bits and pieces surrounding the film is what I really got into. In any case though, back in November we had a whole week of tough meetings and some political drama at work and they have The Force Awakens on Netflix in Belgium… so that was the entertainment for that night.
Sometimes I miss having a telly because you can fall on random stuff that’s on, like women’s rugby! It was France-USA.
When in Brussels…
Coincidentally I learnt the other day that you can get this cherry stuff at the Carrefour in Camas… but it’s in Camas and I don’t have a car. Maybe it’s time to start getting stuff delivered from there.
