I know the days are only gradually getting longer but I feel like the evenings are now remarkably better suited to do things. And of course, no more of that “walking to work in the dark (still true) and walking back from work in the dark (no longer true!)” and that’s quite a relief.
The main lightbulb in my bedroom burn out (can we still say it burn out even if there is no filament?) and it finally forced me to get the step ladder out and also look at the light bulb in the hallway that’s been out for, I think, over a year. Whenever you think you’re lazy… remember, I’m lazier.
My phone camera and high contrasts are not friends but I can’t get myself to see it as a justification to switch to a new model – it still works perfectly fine for its original purpose, which is to keep in touch with others.
For someone who loves living by the sea (I miss it so!), I actually do not like going into the sea – no problems swimming in a pool, but open water is just not for me on most days. Lakes with clear water are more or less fine, especially if there are strange islands to visit in the middle of said lakes.
Sun there, no sun here.
And this marks the end of 2016! Amazingly enough we’re still in January when I’m posting this and I’ve caught up with almost all of 2016 on Flickr – I take it to mean that this year I will be less terrible about staying on top of things…
