From yesterday’s WTF Just Happened Today? newsletter: “Syria will join the Paris climate agreement, leaving the US as the only country to reject the global deal. France, meanwhile, said that Trump, “for the time being,” is not invited to December’s climate change summit in Paris.” Everyone is honestly treating him as a toddler, this is what the world has come to. I mean, this is equal to him not being invited to a birthday party while all the other children in the class are.

We went to the polling place rather late in the day and only 23% or so of the people on the list there had shown up before us. Granted, it had been a lovely day outside and a long weekend (iirc), but still!

Ah. Good to hear they’re planning the first strikes against the new government already… but for September, of course. Wouldn’t do to impede on holiday time! (Why don’t I use emojis on here, the rolling/laughing guy would do well here)

I woke up to a headline that represents rather well my general feeling about this year’s French elections and that feeling is, “wait… what?” And the headline that I saw was, “François Fillon est soupçonné de ne pas avoir rendu les bons costumes” (“François Fillon is thought not to have given back the correct suits”)… I’m saving reading the article for after my first three coffees.

Right. The first round of the elections is right around the corner and the only thing I’m sure of is to who I will not be voting for. I do not like this uncertainty at all.

60 year anniversary and then Article 50 trigger 3 days later. What a year. I would just like to point out that without the EU being as it is, pretty much my whole life since the age of 24-ish would have been completely different and probably very boring.

Everyone is signed up to What The F*ck Just Happened Today, right? I wish someone made the same thing for following the French elections… I could try but I have absolutely no knowledge of how “proper” journalism works – for me, an article is something you perfect over months and you send off for peer reviewing.
